I imagine, not having the mind of God, nor the holiness of God, that He views sin and punishment very differently than we do.

So our children disobey us and transgress against us…so what! we’re imperfect finite beings. So we transgress against a Holy God…that sheds a whole different light on the phrase “there’s hell to pay.”

Was it C.S. Lewis that explained the greater the individual we sin against the greater the sin?

Does a low view of sin, punishment and hell make us view God as much lower than He is too?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13691275293053515834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16239458.post-37132322240609846152008-05-06T15:41:00.000-04:002008-05-06T15:41:00.000-04:00I have those 2 books, but have not had time to rea...I have those 2 books, but have not had time to read them yet...Your endorsement shall elevate them closer to the top of my reading pile:)I think I read Cat's Cradle a long time back, but I can't remember it... Thus why I bought it to reread. Maybe it was one of those English class books that I pretended to read and somehow still aced the quizzes.?

Atlas Shrugged is pretty heavy reading, so I'll prob. wait till I get thru that... should be around fall 2009 counting up the pages:)Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270978399045357206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16239458.post-20042003547826784782008-05-06T15:14:00.000-04:002008-05-06T15:14:00.000-04:00Yes, yes and yes.I also wanted to suggest that you...Yes, yes and yes.

I also wanted to suggest that you extend your Vonnegut reading to "breakfast of champions" and "cat's cradle"Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04837606270122810790noreply@blogger.com
